Yes, You Can

Gift Yourself Success in 2020
Take Charge, Take Control and Take A Leap

Dear Friend,

We have entered the year 2020. Most of you are also in your 20s. The 2020 also rhymes well with T20 cricket,
and, to that effect, it beckons you to play the ball of your life and career in the speedy T20 spirit rather than the
Test match. Indeed, it is time to celebrate the transition with high hopes and happiness, but more than that, it is
the time to ponder over the past and plan for the future. It is time to make new resolutions and new beginnings,
and that too now.

It does not matter if you could not fulfil the resolutions made last year. What matters most is that you look
upon the New Year as another chance to get it right, another chance to have a shot at success, which, the elders say, comes to those who are too busy looking for it. The New Year offers you one more chance to dream big to achieve big. The opportunities for ultimate success will keep coming but only in the garb of challenges. The key is to take the challenges in your stride with indomitable will, sense of purpose, hard work, perseverance, patience, persistent pursuit and unwavering focus. More than your aspirations, it is these traits which will act as the stepping stone to a sustained success.

You will have to ‘learn, unlearn and relearn’ in tune with the times. And the time is ticking away fast. So, rise to the occasion and seize the moment. Start today, rather now, and channelise all your time and energy to pave the path of your career. Take charge of your career, take control of your circumstances and take a leap into a bright future. It is the amount of efforts you put in these formative years that will make or break your career. You have to endure short term pains for long term gains. It is very rightly said that “stronger the foundation, higher the building,” which is worth taking note of by all of you.

You have to invest in today for a better tomorrow. Future depends on what you do in the present. “The future
is not some place we are going to, but the one we are creating and creating now.” The best way to predict the
future is to invent it. Stay put on the roller coaster of challenges that you are bound to ride during the course of
your career-building. Recall what Natalie Goldberg, an American author, had said: “Trust in what you love, continue
to do it, and it will take you where you need to go.” Just stay positive all through the thick and thin of your life.
Build on your past achievements without brooding over your failures, howsoever small these may be. Take
inspiration from Gautam Buddha when he said: “I never see what has been done; I only see what remains to
be done.”

Of course, time has turned a new leaf in the form of New Year 2020. However, drawing from our inspiring ongoing journey of about six decades, we at the CSR believe that a year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a continuous process, with all the wisdom that past experience can instill in us.

We believe in the saying that “in the New Year, you carry all the experiences of the past years and that is the greatest power of every New Year!”  “What the New Year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the New Year.” The CSR is driven by the spirit of these words of wisdom, and our pivotal role in the success of lakhs of our readers over the last sixty years bears testimony to this fact.

As the saying goes, “Time is not measured by the passing of years but by what one does, what one feels, and what one achieves.” And, in that spirit, CSR’s collective achievement can be measured by the highly acknowledged achievements of its readers.

We believe in the Sanskrit quote Kkua ijea cye~ (jnanam paramam balam)  i.e. knowledge is supreme power.
A torch-bearer of contemporary relevant knowledge spanning all facets of the current affairs, the CSR has been the powerhouse of the most up-to-date and focussed information you can count on. We are there to propel you to the path of success in competitive examinations, and are committed to stand by you through the thick and thin of your career. As such, make CSR your habit rather than an occasional referencer, and gift yourself success in 2020. Yes, Together We Can!

Yours Sincerely,
Surendra Kumar Sachdeva
