TECHNOLOGY AND THE CHANGING WORLD

Over the last few decades, technology has greatly increased its abilities. It started from the simple radio to now having cell phones which can surf the web. Technology has greatly influenced our society in many ways. Nowadays it has simplified people’s lives. It would be like trying to imagine teleportation. It was unthinkable, but with moderation, technology has evolved for the better. Though, there are pros and cons of technology, it has changed humanity for the better; humans must know to use technology in moderation.

When technology was first created, society began connecting people with one another.

Society in the world changes every day. The critical change of society is how technology changed the daily lives of human beings and how technology replaced God. Today, technology is invading our lives. As we are in the 21st century, technology is becoming more and more reliable for humans to be dependent on. The growth of technology innovation is seen increasing sharply over the past few years. With the creation of technology, human beings may now think less and let the technology do their job. Life has changed tremendously in the past. Many changes have occurred both in the social, economic and political facets of life. There are many changes still occurring with the evidence of shifting from old ways to new lifestyles across the board. Lifestyles have also taken a different turn in the event that most people do not live in the old patterns and beliefs of life. Many people have thus not only forsaken the old ways and lifestyles but embraced the idea and truth that the world has taken a different angle in every aspect.

Technology has changed the way society has interacted with each other. While technology has allowed society countless means of social interaction that weren’t possible fifty years ago and sustain long-distance friendships that would have otherwise ended, the fact remains that technology is still taking over human interaction. Many may argue that this change is positive. Try to imagine living in a world where technology does not exist. Can you live a day without your alarm clock, cell phone, or computers? Essentially, the pace of technological advances has immensely increased over the last few decades to ease our lives and provide us more opportunities. Though it is undeniable that technology has changed our lives, tech critics argue that the Internet and other related technological gadgets have a deleterious effect on the human brain performance.

Humans are now living in an era that’s nothing like the world has ever seen before, the Information era. The human race has become reliant on technology to help us throughout our days and make our lives comfortable. Schools, offices and homes are just some of the institutions that have been completely taken over by technology since the boom of computer systems that were thought to make life easier and faster. Technology has helped in numerous areas of our lives, but could it be the cause of dehumanising us? Throughout human history, we have developed tools and technologies to improve our way of life. Whether it is irrigation canals or satellites, human beings have strived to make societal functions efficient and precise. Technological advancement has in many ways benefited human society as a whole, and humanity shows no signs of slowing down. However, even though all this new technology has had a beneficial growth on the world and ways words cannot describe, the greatest impact is on the human mind. More specifically and dangerously the minds of the growing youth. Technology has done nothing but made communication easier for people, especially through the invention of the smartphones. Society ignores the social and emotional development of the mind due to this new technology, which can be connected to stress, loneliness, and inattentiveness. Technology can very well be termed as an enhanced route to a target that is yet to be improved. Innovation and technology go hand in hand. Technology is all about the changing of ideas into something tangible. Innovation is not only for those organisations and individuals who are creative, but also requires the presence of scientific and technological talent. Technology has, without doubt, transformed our lives into something much better. If we were to actually compare the way we live today and how life was a few years back, we will definitely notice how much technology has transformed our lives. It has given us a lot of freedom and also a number of ways to save on resources and time. How much the economy of a nation has grown can be measured by measuring the level of technology that they have achieved. This is all due to the fact that there are various factors that affect how an individual lives.

The use of the internet is growing at a very fast rate with each passing day. The internet literally links more than seven hundred million people from all corners of the world. Owing to this great innovation in technology, it is possible for a person to get information on any topic from anywhere at any time. It has made education easily available to each and every person. It has also made improvisations in so many ways we use to satisfy our needs and meet all expectations. It has provided us with much easier and faster ways to solve urgent problems. The Information technology sector has fully transformed human communication with the likes of instant messaging, video conferencing and emails. Technology has helped people to construct bridges to reduce the distance. One drawback that has come with all this is the changing of people into lethargic beings owing to the high technological trends. It has greatly reduced people’s ability to pay attention. Computerisation, automation and robotics are on the move to transform our lives. Technology caught the world by storm and the advancements that are still being made with each passing day are without doubt hitting the world with a bang. Technology has definitely changed the way we live our lives in a big way making everything much easier and faster. It has turned the world into a global village and it is no longer necessary for one to physically be in a place to be able to communicate with someone or perform some other activity. So, we can say that technology has greatly impacted our lives.

Technology has impacted our lives in both negative and positive ways. There is no doubt that technology is important in our lives, but we need to be selective in using it. We should use the technology for serving the human beings and make this world a better place to live in. The impact of technology is really great that it has completely changed our lifestyle. Computers, internet, gadgets all these things have changed our working system totally and our productivity has increased unbelievably. It is true that the application of technology in our daily activities has changed, defined and reshaped our lives at large.

Technology existed before the human kind and it has improved people’s lives positively and negatively somehow but that was not the aim/reason why technology appeared. The reason was to change and improve people’s lives and make it more enjoyable as it should be. Over the years, technology has revolutionised our world. different ways technology has changed the world as a whole. All of these new technologies can and will change the way a 21st century learner can learn.
