Boris Johnson

The United Kingdom became the first nation to have left the European Union. After 47 years of membership and more than three years after it voted to do so in a referendum, it left the EU on January 31, 2020. British Prime Minister Mr. Boris Johnson hailed the historic moment as the dawn of a new era for the UK in his address to the nation just before Brexit. Mr. Johnson took charge in 2019 with a “no ifs, no buts” pledge to leave the European Union (EU).

J.P. Nadda

BJP Working President Mr. J.P. Nadda was elected unopposed as the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party on January 20, 2020. The party’s election in-charge of organisation, Mr. Radha Mohan Singh gave him the certificate of his election on the occasion. Mr. Nadda was appointed as the party’s Working President in July 2019. He has long been a member ofthe BJP Parliamentary Board, its highest decision-making body. He was also the Cabinet Minister in the first tenure of the Narendra Modi Government.

Michelle Obama

Ms. Michelle Obama won her first-ever Grammy at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 26, 2020. The former First Lady of America won the award under the Best Spoken Word category for the audio book for her memoir ‘Becoming’. The memoir focuses on her childhood, her time as the First Lady and also her life as a mother to her daughters Sasha and Malia Obama in the public eye.
